Sheikh Maulana Nazim and Sheikh Abdul Kerim in Turkey during the mid 1990's
As you can see from the pictures, Sheikh Abdul Kerim Efendi was openly giving much needed sohbet- not only to the
Turks but to the visitors and tourists as well, directly under the glare of the secular authorities. The places he
visited include Topkapi Palace, Sultan Ahmet Mosque, and Sumbul Sinan Efendi's Dergah.
Sumbul Efendi's (also known as 'Merkez Efendi') dergah complex contains two tombs of Hazreti Huseyin's daughters Fatima and Sakinah. Of particular
interest is the picture of Sheikh Efendi giving sohbet in the Sheikh Shamil cemetary where our grandsheikh Gumuki al
Huseyini is buried. As a lion of Allah, he gently spreads the light of the Holy Prophet (s) "without fear or sadness."
