In the Name of Allah, The Most Compassionate, The Most Merciful

Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Adil al-Qubrusi al-Haqqani

A'udhu-billahi minash-Shaitan-ir-rajim. Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim. La haula wa la quwatta illa bi-llahi-l 'Aliyi-l Adhim.

Destur ya Sayyedi meded! Meded ya Sultan-ul-Auliya!

Tariqatuna as-sohba wal khairu fi jami'at.

We are in need safa'; safa' means nearness, clearness or cleanliness. In the Name of Allah Almighty, the most Merciful. Mostly, not mostly but always, if a person is asking to be in perfect satisfaction, he must reach (achieve) full cleanliness. That cleanliness brings clarity for you or for mankind. Until a person reaches that, he is followed by fear and hopelessness.

If fear, harm and sadness come to a person, they poison his life. Therefore, we must try to reach that level, on which, once it has been reached, all fear and sadness leaves you. No fear and no sadness. That is the level of the Friends of Allah, because when Allah Almighty accepts a servant and gives to him 'Wilayat', friendship, He takes all fear and sadness away from him. As a rocket - at first, when it is launched, it uses such a great power. And the ones in it, they have fear and sadness. When it reaches its orbit, then (its ascent is) finished, then it is okay. Or as soon as a plane - when it is taking off from the airport, and starting (to roll) on the runway, the passengers are ordered to take the required position, to obey some rules. And the signs show: fasten your seat belts and no smoking. It is an order that you must obey, because the time of take-off is the most dangerous time for plane, leaving earth and reaching skyward. And beginning to ascend, rising, and then they say: "Now you can be you were before, you may rest now, because the plane just took its orbit, it is okay now" But till that time, you must obey some hard orders and endure some difficult positions, till reaching its orbit. Even more than the rockets; because planes are still under the influence of gravity, the power of gravity still affects the plane, and may any time pill it back to earth. But a rocket, when it has reached its orbit, gravity no more affects it, no, finished. Beginning (moving) so smoothly turning around, not using any power. In that position you may find safety and satisfaction, no fear and no sadness, finished.

And we, as long as we are on earth, as long as we are preventing our souls to move - and the soul can only move if it is going to be free from the gravity of our egos. When that finishes, it is okay, then our souls have reached their orbit and they are no more under the influence of their physical being or their egoistic characteristics, no, finished! Therefore, our Grandsheikh was always trying, and all Grandsheikhs and all Tariqats try to make servants free from their egoistic gravity, because as long as they are in the area of gravity of their physical desires, it is filling them with fear and sadness. Filling them with fear, for what? They are in fear if they would tomorrow enjoy the same pleasures from following their egoistic and physical desires that they enjoy today. Tomorrow is never going to give a person the conditions he is in today, that the same conditions may continue tomorrow. He may be a Sultan, an Emperor or he may be the most powerful person, able to change everything in his country with just one order or command. Even that person is in fear for the future, and nearest future is tomorrow. He can't be in contentment that tomorrow he is going to be in the same conditions that he was in today. That is his fear.

These people are always in fear to lose what their egos and physical beings have reached today. What is going to happen tomorrow? He may be on his throne and in power today; and maybe tomorrow he is on the same position; but some illness might come to him. He is on the same position as yesterday; but today he may be sick, he may be a patient, and he is not going to taste anything around himself. Even if he is still Sultan or Emperor or King or Commander-in-Chief, but he is still worried that he might be unable to defend himself from that unseen creature that may rush on him, attack him and deprive him of full enjoyment and satisfaction. In one second he may lose everything that he had yesterday. That is the fear of the coming days, even for most powerful, most rich people. As long as they are on the lowest level, that fear must be with them. An unexpected accident may happen to him or someone who is related to him, and maybe that his life is going to be a poisoned life - with no more taste. He is on the same position, but cannot taste any food or drink or anything. It never gives him any hope, any enjoyment, finished. That fear. And secondly, it also brings sadness. When a person falls into such a bad condition suddenly or accidentally, he is going to be sad for his past days, his past life that he was enjoying and he feels that he is never once again going to be on that same position. Therefore, two things: sadness and fear is poisoning the life of people. His life is polluted, finished.

If you have not reached the stage of cleanliness and clarity after that, you are always in sadness and darkness and fear. Therefore Allah Almighty is calling His servants: "O people! O My servants! Bow to Me! O people! O My servants! Run to Me." And when something catastrophic happens, like an earthquake, a hurricane or such bad things, people run away, and they say: "Where to may we run?" If anything happens people run to their homes. When an earthquake comes, people run away from their houses and don't know where to run to. Allah Almighty is saying: "O My servants, it is possible that anything may happen to you during your lives on earth. A hurricane may come anytime; any terrible event may come and you may run. You are asking to run to save your souls. You may ask an SOS: O! Someone save our souls! You may encounter storms in the oceans or the deserts, or fires, or earthquakes. I am calling you, I am saying to you: "O My servants! Run to Me, don't ask anyone else or anywhere else, no shelter!"

When Allah Almighty made the flood, Noah's flood, to come, he addressed the people of Noah: "If that storm or flood comes, don't think that you can save yourselves! No, it is impossible. The only shelter is with Allah Almighty. Whoever runs to Allah, He may shelter him, not anyone else." Therefore Allah Almighty is saying: "O My servant, run to me, I may shelter you." If you run to your Lord, to Allah Almighty, He is giving to you satisfaction through your cleanliness and you should be clear. Safa', clarity, you should be given. As long as you are on Asfal, the lowest level, you can't reach that cleanliness and you can't be clear, and if you don't reach (the stage of) clarity and cleanliness, your life is always going to be in sadness and fear - as the people of hells, no hope, they are hopeless, they are in darkness and they are in fear. We are trying to reach cleanliness, and cleanliness brings satisfaction. "qad aflaha man zakka", Allah Almighty is saying: "Whoever is reaching cleanliness and clarity, he should be in safety forever." And the way of reaching cleanliness and to be in clarity, you need Dhikr. Dhikr, that means: to be with Allah, as Allah Almighty is saying: "Ana jalisu man dhakarni". "I am with My servant when he is with Me, I am with him." How the servant can be with is Lord? When he is asking Allah, when he is going to exist for Allah, when he sacrifices everything for Allah, Allah going to be with him always. If Allah Almighty is going to be with His servant, he will have reached every enjoyment, reached perfect enjoyment, reached perfect satisfaction, reached perfect contentment, reached every perfection.

And the way that leads people to be with Allah is Dhikr. Therefore, all 41 Tariqats are trying to call people to make Dhikr, to teach them how they should be with their Lord Almighty Allah. When they have learned this, then they should feel, fully feel, that they are with Allah, and they should understand with full understanding that if they are not with Allah, there is no more life for them, they would just be finished and vanish. They should be thrown away, thrown out of existence, that they should be sent into another existence that is never going to be enjoyment, or a good position, or pleasure for them; never going to be tasty, finished! They should be thrown away like factories throw out poisonous waste. When they are working, it is poison and they are asking to send it away as far as possible. And everywhere it goes, it is poisoning. Therefore, those people that change from a good position to a bad position, that means that they are poisoned and they are dirty ones, that they should be thrown away, and therefore, the Lord of Heavens has prepared 7 Hells to throw away into them those poisoned people. Those that have lost everything that was granted to them. The biggest grant from Allah Almighty that was granted to them, they lost it, therefore they finished. As a meal, first, when you cook it is okay. When you leave it to stand (for a long while), and go away, it becomes poison, because it is changed and it is not the same as it was when freshly cooked. You must throw it away. No one can eat it, it is poison.

Therefore association with the Sheikh makes clear the ways of Heavens, ways of cleanliness, ways of to be clear (clarity), and ways reaching to their Lord's Friendship, and how they can reach their Lord's Divine Presence. Therefore most important pillar in the most distinguished Naqshbandi Order is to prepare people so that they may try to reach their real stations in the Divine Presence. Therefore you must follow - everyone must follow - Tariqats, because Tariqats are the ways to the Divine Presence. If you don't accept, you know! You will be poisoned by satanic teachings that his agents are teaching. You may be, if you like, with shaitan, if you like to be with prophets, with the Seal of Prophets in the Divine Presence, it is for you. Therefore we have been granted the freedom to choose one of the two ways: either to be with the Prophets, or to be with satanic people.

May Allah protect us from being with satanic people and grants us to be with His divine people for reaching His Divine Presence, for the honour of the most honoured servant and His Prophet, Sayyedina Muhammad s.a.w.s, Fatiha.
